Duties:   Design, modify, develop, write, implement, and support software programming applications and components, including but not limited to EDI Fabric, Hyland OnBase, and Hyland Content Composer. Design, code, and test new web, console, and desktop software applications. Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to ASP.NET, .NET Core, MVC, Web API, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, C#, SQL Server, EDI Processing, Hyland OnBase, and Hyland Content Composer. Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects. Perform code reviews. Investigate and develop skills in new technologies. Create technical specifications and test plans. Consult with business and other developers to design solutions. Work from written specifications and pre-established guidelines to perform tasks and maintain documentation of process flow. Work closely with and provide guidance to junior team members to support their growing skillsets. Position is based in Indianapolis, IN office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

Requirements:  Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus three (3) years of experience as a software developer, or a related occupation involving design, development, documenting, supporting, testing, and debugging enterprise software applications. Experience may be gained concurrently and must include:

Three (3) years in each of the following:
  • Full .NET software development lifecycle specifically in the areas of Visual Studio; frameworks such as .NET, .NET Core, WCF, ASP.NET Web API, SOAP, RESTful Services, or Angular; and JavaScript
  • Working with relational databases
  • Programming with C#
  • Using debugging tools and techniques such as Visual Studio Debugger, Log file debugging, and browser dev tools  

Two (2) years in each of the following:
  • EDI Processing, EDI 837 standards, and EDI communication protocols (FTP, FTPS, HTTP, HTTPS)
  • Supporting and developing integrations with Hyland Content Composer and Hyland OnBase
  • Working in a ticketing system such as Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or TFS.

One (1) year in the following:
  • Manual and automated testing using MSTest, XUnit, NUnit, or other test frameworks.

Alternatively, five (5) years of stated experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience.
