Compliance Officer

International Medical Group, headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Compliance Officer who possesses high ethical standards to join our team. 

Key Objective

This position, located in Indianapolis, is responsible for ensuring insurance industry legal, regulatory, and operational compliance across the enterprise, including completing operational and compliance audits.  This position will work collaboratively with senior management, team leaders, and business partners to ensure compliance with the Company’s and Industry Best Practices and continuously support the improvement of the technical quality of the Company’s compliance, measuring compliance through the completion of audits and quality reviews.  The position will analyze and communicate findings, recommend solutions, and assist in the development of meaningful action plans.  


  • Demonstrated understanding of insurance regulatory environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to understand technical language (including federal and state legal and regulatory requirements).
  • Ability to develop skills to analyze, assess, investigate, and interpret regulations, statutes, and bulletins related to insurance business.
  • Highly motivated team player with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Positive team player who has the ability to build relationships with business partners, achieve assigned goals, and demonstrate ownership for and carry out assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering quality results and adjusting to changing needs.
  • Proven strong project and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry in a product management, product development, regulatory, compliance, legal, operations, and/or policy development/filing position.
  • Education equivalent to bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in related work experience.
  • JD preferred.
