Medical Concierge Representative

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated Medical Concierge Representative.  You will be the front line for supporting the needs of our insureds by doing extensive research and price shopping related to reducing medical costs.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion to help customers by finding the best deals and providing multiple quality options.

Responsibilities:

  • Research quality scores and costs associated with medical care
  • Research alternative providers to reduce health care costs
  • Search and navigate the Internet, PPO networks, and databases such as Healthgrades.com and Vitals.com to research medical pricing, provider star ratings, and in-network providers
  • Relationship management - proactively build effective, strategic relationships with insureds, insurance producers, and key medical partners/facilities to gather information and to provide research results
  • Provide high levels of customer satisfaction - interact and engage with multiple departments in the company to ensure high levels of service and support are provided
  • Assist members in navigating the medical system
  • Provide members with network information
  • Provide reports to members with cost/quality data as well as educational material as necessary
  • Create and update metrics related to cost savings potential and best business practices 
  • Prepare, e-mail/mail and/or fax documents to members and providers
  • Take incoming calls from members, providers and TPAs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience analyzing, researching, and solving customer inquiries in a call center environment
  • Ability to analyze information and make sound judgements based on that information
  • Initiative to document all work-related processes and suggest process improvement
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word and Excel), and proficient in operating common office equipment
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Must be willing to adjust and grow as the position demands
  • Prior medical insurance industry experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical diagnosis codes, and HCPCS codes preferred

Hours:

  • Must be able to work Monday – Friday from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (EST)
