Summary
The Commercial Team Summer Intern will have the opportunity to experience work in multiple departments of an international medical insurer. Department experience to include: Commercial (Sales); Operations; and Medical Management. This position will initially support Commercial (Sales) in review current market conditions and specific business segments and Operations with support of the member appeals. Additional experience may include other areas of the organization and needs arise. Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, 90+% of the time sitting and using a computer. Looking for a flexible team player; with good communication skills; and attention to detail.
Job Details
- Corporate Office: Located in Indianapolis IN
- Flexible Schedule. Monday through Friday. Day shift hours
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. IMG will not be providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify key market information in support IMG Commercial (Sales)
- Documentation of market information to include source data
- Inbound customer mailbox management to include:
- sending acknowledgements
- triage incoming correspondence
- route to relevant departments
- Review and documenting of member appeals to include:
- review of appeal
- classification of appeal type
- classification of appeal cause
- documentation of such findings
- Respond to escalated claim queries
- Outbound calls to medical providers
- Coordinate and send basic appeal correspondence
- Data entry into multiple systems
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school Diploma
- Computer skills and proficiency in operating common computer programs with focus on Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Enrollment in a post-secondary education program
