SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Advisor is responsible for answering incoming phone calls, emails, and live chat conversations from prospective customers.  They are responsible for marketing and selling the portfolio of products by way of phone transactions while offering a high level of customer service and productivity.  As a frontline representative for the company, the Inside Sales Advisor focuses on new customer enrollment, consumer retention, and providing sales support to our customers and partners.
 

JOB DETAILS 

  • Location:  Indianapolis - Hybrid schedules available  
  • Schedule: Day shift position from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recommends the appropriate IMG product and assists prospective customers with new quotes and application completion via the portal.
  • Maintain a high level of international industry knowledge.
  • Thoroughly understand the products and services sold.
  • Perform needs-based selling techniques and skills to appropriately analyze, probe, and identify prospective customers and partners' needs.
  • Conduct consultative selling with probing to ask appropriate questions and actively listen to identify specific questions or issues while documenting required information in computer systems.
  • Engage prospective customers on the benefits of IMG's products and services.
  • Build positive relationships with producers and customers to ensure continued interest in IMG's products and services.
  • Participate in sales meetings as appropriate and provide input for generating sales.
  • Updates CRM tools (Salesforce.com) and ensures that call logs and new business opportunities are tracked in CRM systems.
  • Competent use of technology and telephony systems.
  • Meet the performance goals established for the position: efficiency, call quality, revenue generated, sold certificates, team performance, needs-based selling, conversion rate, and closing ratio.


QUALIFICATIONS 
  • 2+ years of customer service and sales related experience in office setting, call center setting or phone support role.   
  • Bi-lingual preferred but not required (Mandarin, Spanish, or French), and fluent in English as well.
  • Demonstrated ability in using computer and Windows PC applications, which includes strong keyboard and navigation skills and learning new computer programs
  • A proficient problem-solving approach to quickly assess the current state and formulate recommendations
  • Proficient in translating healthcare and insurance-related jargon and complex processes into simple, step-by-step instructions customers and producers can understand and act upon
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written format (via Live Chats and email)
  • Proficient conflict management skills including the ability to resolve issues in a stressful situation and demonstrate personal resilience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility to customize approach to meet all types of customer/producer communication styles and personalities
  • Ability to multi-task, including the ability to navigate multiple computer screens and system programs while speaking on the telephone
  • Ability to develop an understanding of our multiple products and levels of benefits within each product
 

PREFERRED SKILLS 

  • Multi-lingual capabilities with an emphasis on Spanish, French, or Mandarin
  • Health Insurance License
  • Common Insurance Industry experience
