JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Manager is a member of the Enterprise Project Management Office and will lead the QA team in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards and procedures. This role is responsible for ensuring that all products and services meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance, aligning with company objectives and customer expectations.
This role involves working with internal teams and external partners throughout the project lifecycle. Success in this role requires effective project coordination, clear communication of timelines and deliverables, and proactive issue resolution. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong analytical skills and a passion for continuous improvement.  In addition to traditional QA responsibilities, this role will drive the design, implementation, and scaling of automated testing strategies to improve efficiency and coverage across all platforms. 
  


 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS), including quality policies, processes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide the QA team, conduct performance reviews, manage workloads, and foster a culture of quality awareness.
  • Build and mentor a QA team with strong automation capabilities, fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all quality testing activitiesFor software roles, this includes manual and automated testing strategies. Define and implement test automation architecture, select appropriate tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright), and ensure integration with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing. Establish metrics to measure automation effectiveness, coverage, and ROI, and report progress to senior leadership.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to verify compliance with established standards
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify trends, pinpoint areas for improvement, and generate quality reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Lead investigations into non-conformance issues, customer complaints, and product defects, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Partner with other departments, such as underwriting, compliance, IT, and product development, to integrate quality best practices throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Work with vendors to ensure that all outsourced testing meets quality specifications




QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 7+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks and strategies. Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in continuous learning and professional development.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with relevant software, databases, and quality management tools.
  • A solid understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards. 




PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, computer science, business administration, or related fields
  • Quality Assurance certification (CQM) is a plus.
  • Experience in insurance, healthcare, or similar industries.
  • Exposure to Agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments and performance/load testing tools is a plus.
